Camp in Central Alberta

Our hunters will by met by the outfitter on their arrival at Edmonton airport in Alberta, they will then be driven to a hotel in the town of  Barrhead, where they will spend one night. On day 2 they will again be collected by the outfitter and transferred to the hunting district, which is a 1-2 hour drive to the north.

The camp is situated in the midst of the hunting district, which means you can quickly get out into the Alberta’s fantastic and beautiful wilderness. You must remember that the hunting camp is “just that” - a camp. It is simple but comfortable. There are both washing and toilet facilities in camp, and all meals are home made, often prepared over the camp fire.

The camp itself is like a classic Canadian hunting camp, consisting of a hunting cabin used for storing supplies etc., together with large heated tents, with wood burning stoves and camp beds. 2 hunters will sleep in each tent, unless otherwise agreed in advance. The tents have camp beds with mattresses, pillows, sheets and towels. It is therefore important you bring along a good sleeping bag on the tour.

Once the bears are shot, the guides will help skinning the bears and with field preparation of the skins, which will be delivered to a local taxidermist after the hunt. Here you can choose to have the bear mounted, so simply have the skins prepared so that they can be sent home to your own local taxidermist.
