Distribution: Celebes: Eastern peninsula, the Toradja Highland and the central mountains.
Habitat: Dense forest and bamboo thickets. Reedbeds and open grassland near water.
Description: Small wild cattle weighing up to 200 kg and measuring up to 70 cm over the shoulder. It may reach a total body length of 1,50 m without tail (25 cm). General colour blackish brown. The horns are small, almost straight and bent backwards.
