Scientific Name: Dusicyon griseus
Subspecies: A total of seven subspecies have been described, but will not be described here.
Distribution: In the interior of Equador, northern Chile and northern Argentina.
Habitat: Mountainous regions, Pampas and open land.
Description: Small animal, the size of a fox weighing up to 4,4 kg, reaching a body length, without tail, of around 70 cm.
Hunting method: With dogs and snares.
Hunting available in: Not really regarded as a game species.
