Scientific Name: Viverra zibetha

Subspecies: 4 subspecies have been described, but not all authors agree to their individual status: 1. Viverra z. zibetha: From Nepal to Assam. 2. Viverra z. picta: Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and Kampuchea. 3. Viverra z. pruinosa: Tenasserim and Malaysia. 4. Viverra z. ashtoni: Southern China.

Habitat: Wet savanna and forest.

Description: Body weight: 11 kg, Body length without tail (43 cm): 80 cm.

Hunting method: With dogs and traps.
