We can offer unique experiences for hunting groups from 2 to 12 hunters. They can enjoy a good day of hunting in some of the most unspoilt areas of Kerry, where it abounds with woodcock, snipe, duck and other game.

In the south-west of Ireland lies the county of Kerry. It is an incredibly beautiful area with mountains and valleys, rivers and streams and lakes. You also finds Ireland's highest mountain, Carrantuohill at 1041 m in this area.

Our partner in Ireland has approx. 20,000 hectares of varying hunting area in Co. Kerry, where there is a really good population of sika deer. In the higher lying areas there is also a good population of wild goats.

Roughshooting:

In addition to rifle hunting, a number of different shotgun hunts are also offered, the most popular of which is probably the traditional roughshooting.

We can offer unique experiences for hunting parties from 2 to 12 hunters. They can enjoy a good day of hunting in some of the most unspoilt areas of Kerry, where it abounds with woodcock, snipe, duck and other game. The hunters are divided into groups, and for every other hunter there is a guide. A group of 4 hunters will be accompanied by 2 guides. One thing is for sure, the hunters will have an exciting day with experienced hunters and dogs through various terrains, from Kerry's bumpy bogs and moors to rolling green hills and mountains.

The hunt will mainly be for woodcocks and snipes and it is not unusual for each group to see up to 15-40 woodcocks per. day, depending on weather conditions during the period u are hunting in. In addition, there is also other game in the area, such as hares and ducks. If you take a hunting day exclusively on snipes, it will not be abnormal to see up to 70-200 snipes on a hunting day.

A typical hunting day:

- Departure from the hotel around 09:00 am with hunting guides.
- Hunting until 13:00 pm
- Breakfast at a local pub
- Hunting until sunset
- There is the possibility of evening flights on ducks on certain terrains

Season: From November 1st to January 31st
Hunting clothes: Bring a raincoat as it often rains. Jacket, water- and wind proved trousers, boots, hat or cap.
Shotgun: Shotgun caliber 12, 16, 20 - 28 and 410 caliber.
Cartridges: It is possible to buy cartridges at the place

It takes approx. 4 hours drive from Dublin to the hunting area of ​​Kerry. Alternatively, you can also choose to fly to Cork or Kerry in the west of Ireland - however, it often requires a intermediate landing.

We have had a long partnership with our partner in Ireland and he provides excellent service to our hunters and some great results on the hunts. With over 30 years of experience in the field, our partner has great expertise in Sika deer hunting and shotgun hunting. He has a very good reputation and his hunting organization is known throughout Europe.

Accommodation

The stay takes place in a nice hotel in the town of Killorglin, which is located in County Kerry in the southwest of Ireland, or alternatively in the outfitter's own guesthouse of good standard.

Located in the heart of Killorglin, the hotel has welcomed guests in the city for more than 150 years and has 15 luxurious and spacious rooms. The hotel also has a cozy bar and award-winning restaurant, serving fresh and delicious dishes with fresh ingredients from local vendors made by the head chef for 40 years.

The stay includes breakfast and dinner from the restaurant.

The hotel is located on the famous tourist route "Ring of Kerry" and "Wild Atlantic Way", which offers many different outdoor activities in the area, such as the beautiful Rossbeigh beach.

In addition, there are several fishing opportunities and boat trips on Caragh lake or mountain hiking in "The MacGillycuddy Reeks of Kerry", which is Ireland's highest mountains with 3 mountain peaks at over 1,000 meters altitude, as well as the possibility of guided tours to the islands "The Skellig Islands" and "Valentia ”Which offers some fantastic nature experiences and wildlife.
