Our new partner in Slovakia can offer some very attractive hunting for big red stags during the peak of the rutting season in September. Slovakia is home to some excellent populations of red deer, and you will hunt in beautiful, hilly areas where the red deer really thrive. Hunting will take place in the early morning and evening, with each outing lasting between 2 - 3 hours. Slovakia is renown for its big red stags and you can expect a stag in the 6-11kg trophy class. Here you have a good chance of bagging a really excellent trophy.
If hunt are hunting during the hight of the rutting season, it is possible to hunt throughout the day, as the stags are roaring around the clock. Once you have bagged your trophy it is possible to continue hunting for hinds and calves or for some of the other hunt able species. You can decide yourself if your trophy should be boiled and bleached, or wether it should be prepared for shoulder mounting. The outfitter will assist you with arranging transport of your trophies home.
Hunters will stay in a nearby hotel or guest house, in rooms with en suite facilities. The hotel offers a restaurant where you will have the possibility of trying some of the delicious local Slovakian food. The cost of a standard meal is between €5 - €10. Breakfast is included in the price. If you prefer more private surroundings, some of the districts can offer accommodation in a hunting lodge close to the hunting district, with the services of a private cook during your stay (at extra cost). Lodges are normally located in the forest, and are suitable for groups of between 4 to 10 hunters.
You should arrange flights to either Budapest, Bratislava or Vienna airports, depending on which districts you will visit. You will be met at the airport by a driver who will transfer hunters to their accommodation by car or minibus, depending on the size of the group. Drive time will be between 1½ - 2½ hours.
