These large hunting areas in southern Hungary - near the border with Croatia - house a red deer population which, in terms of trophies, is significantly above the Hungarian average. In all 3 areas, the average size of red stags bagged during the rut is just over 10 kg.
In other words, these are the areas for hunters who want the largest possible European red deer trophy harvested in free hunting range.
The capital Hungarian red stag trophies are naturally sought after by many hunters and the prices are usually accordingly. The prices in this offer are an expression of median prices.
On the other hand, Hungary operates with a unique system which ensures that the hunter only has to pay for his trophy if it falls within +/- 15% of the previously agreed size. However, these areas ask that you hunt a minimum of 8 kg red stag +/- 15% tolerance. It is simply the hunter's responsibility to correctly assess the trophy within this margin.
If he is still wrong, it is the hunter's right to leave the trophy on the territory without charge - a good safeguard against budget overruns.
If you agree e.g. to hunt for an 8 kg red stag, you can choose not to pay if it is outside the range 6.8-9.2 kg. But in such a very rare case, it usually ends up with the district making a good offer.

Restaurant/wine tasting: Near the grounds is the village of Villany, which is definitely worth a visit. Trophy Hunting
Your Hungarian hunting guide, will be able to judge the size of the game with a high degree of accuracy, and will help to get you the best possible chance of a shot. Following Hungarian hunting regulations, as a visiting hunter, you must accept a margin of error of +/- 15% of the estimate trophy size for game shot. If the error is greater than 15% you can leave the trophy in Hungary. This helps to give a higher degree of security when estimating your hunting budget.
