Strong roe bucks in Hungary
If you like hunting for strong roebuck trophies you absolutely should try the Hungarian Puszta. A biotope that over many years has produced a very strong population of roe deer. The success rate is high, considering the average size of roebucks, and a hunter can count on 2-4 roebucks in 3 days hunting, with a net weight of the trophy between 350 - 550 grams. Together with our own man in Hungary, Attila, we have visited a number of the areas and in one area we saw approx. 50 pcs. of roe deer in less than half an hours drive.

Best time to hunt
From 15th April to early/mid May, or during the rutting season in July/early August
The hunt takes place on large, private hunting club areas in the Hungarian Puszta, where there is a unique population of roe deer. These areas are some of the best in Europe if you want high success rates on strong roe bucks.
Trophy hunting
Before starting your trophy hunt in Hungary you can state the maximum size of trophy you want to hunt, and this will be entered into the protocol before the hunt. It is then the obligation of your Hungarian stalker, or hunting guide, to find roebuck game of that size, although within a tolerance of +/- 15%. If the deviation from your agreed size is greater than 15% you have the right to leave the trophy in Hungary without paying for it. However, should this happen the area will normally give the hunter a good offer. But this will help you keep your planned budget for the hunt.
Individual hunts are either carried out as stalking or lying in wait. Jeeps, or similar vehicles, are used to drive around the hunting district.

The deposit for the trophies after the hunt is charged in reference to the killed game while hunting, when booking will be charged as a deposit 50% of the ordered Wilds.
