Scientific Name: Littocranius Walleri
Subspecies: Litocranius w. sclateri
Distribution: Uganda, Somalia, Ethiopia, Tanzania and Kenya.
Habitat: Dry thorn-bush country with trees, and even desert.
Description: A large gazelle, with an exceptionally long neck (hence its common name: Giraf-gazelle). General colour ruddy brown with the upper back distinctly darker, contrasting with lighter sides. The Gerenuk weighs around 35 - 50 kg. and measures around 100 cm over the shoulder.
