The local dove population in Entre Ríos Province has exploded in recent years due to increased agricultural production in the area. The region features wet, green fields that are increasingly being converted to soybean, corn, and sorghum production. This has attracted an exceptionally high number of doves. When shooting doves in Entre Ríos, the only limit is your desire to keep shooting.
Depending on the season, hunting usually continues until midday. Hunters are then transported back to the lodge, where a delicious barbecue lunch is served in the shade. Naturally, Argentina’s famous beef and fine wines are part of the menu. Afterwards, there is time for a short siesta before hunting resumes around 2:00–2:30 PM. Hunting normally continues until just before dark. At the end of the day, guests return to the lodge where the host awaits with cocktails and a grand dinner.
The hunting areas are carefully rotated, and the outfitter maintains moderate hunting pressure across all fields to consistently ensure maximum dove numbers. The hunting grounds are located approximately 20–45 minutes from the lodge, and transportation takes place in one of the outfitter’s air-conditioned minibuses.
