Covert Outfitting have access to 2 large hunting districts in British Columbia, both of which have dense populations of black bears.
The most southern hunting district lies north east of the city of Vancouver, close to Harrison Lake. This district is part of British Columbia’s lush coastal mountains. This type of terrain, with its cover of temperate rainforest, provides good sustainable food sources for the bears such as the large shoals of salmon that ascend the rivers and the plentiful berries. This and the mild climate provide ideal conditions for the bears that really thrive here. It is only possible for 2 hunters to hunt in this district at any one time.
In this hunting district it is possible to find many of British Columbia’ hunt able game species such as grizzly bears, big black bears, Canadian moose, mountain goats and wolves.
Our hunters will be met by the outfitters in Vancouver, from where they will be transferred to the hunting district which lies north east of Vancouver. During the hunt our hunters will stay in tented camps or small wilderness cabins, depending on where in the district they are hunting.
