Distribution: Eastern Pakistan, Indian subcontinent (excl. Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Assam). Introduced into Texas (USA).
Habitat: Open woodland and grassy plains.
Description: Large antelope weighing up to 245 kg and measuring up to 1,50 m over the shoulder. It may reach a total body length of 2,10 m without tail (55 cm).
Hunting method: Stalking, lying in wait, with beaters, with spears from horseback.
Hunting available in: India and Texas (USA).
