Scientific Name: Oryx g beisa
Subspecies: Beisa Oryx is a subspecies of the common Oryx (Oryx gazella)
Distribution: Ethiopia and the Northern parts of Kenya.
Habitat: Dry open bush and short grass savanna, even semi-desert areas.
Description: Large antelope with very compact body and a well defined pattern on head and body so typical for the Oryx's. Body sandy fawn with a black spinal stripe. The horns are nearly straight with a slight backward curve, very long and heavily ridged, almost parallel.
