RAM Head Outfitters are a family owned company, bought by Stan Simpson in 1981. Stan’s wife Deb and daughters Bailey and Meghan are all very involved in the company. Bailey still takes care of all the cooking in Keele River Camp, while Meghan who was awarded her helicopter license in 2009, flies for the company every summer. .
Stan comes a real Outfitting-family; his father, David Simpson, started out as a "wrangler" and took clients out hunting and riding back in 1950. He bought his first hunting district in 1954, and started out as an Outfitter. David was also chairman of the Alberta Outfitters Association for many years.
Stan’s brother, Frank, guides in northern British Columbia for Stone Sheep. His brother Flint guides with Frank in Alberta for bighorn-sheep.
RAM Head Outfitters are great believers in Wildlife Conservation, and committed to game management and making sure that the hunting district is not “over-hunted”. RAM Head Outfitters are dedicated supporters of the Wild Sheep Foundation, and donate a Dall Sheep-hunt every year. They have done this all the 32 years they have worked in the industry.
