Distribution: Southern Myanmar, western Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Kampuchea, India, Sri Lanka, Sumatra, Java, Bali, introduced on the Comores and Madagascar.

Habitat: Wet savanna and forest.

Description: Small cat weighing up to 4 kg. Total bodylength without tail (43 cm): Up to 63 cm.

Hunting method: With dogs and traps.
