Our exclusive partner in La Pampa operates one of the most exciting hunting areas on the Argentine pampas. Here, professional hunt management, high ethical standards, and genuine Argentine hospitality are combined with strong populations of attractive big game species.
From arrival in Buenos Aires to departure, the focus is on personal service and tailor-made solutions, ensuring that each stay is adapted to the individual hunter’s wishes and ambitions. The team behind the operation consists of passionate hunters and outdoor enthusiasts who share a deep respect for sustainable wildlife management and quality in every detail.
La Pampa is known for its great variety of huntable species. Many of these were introduced more than 100 years ago and have since developed into strong and well-managed populations. Today, the area stands as a true paradise for rifle hunters.
The outfitter offers hunting for more than 12 different big game species. In particular, free-range red stag hunting is an experience in a class of its own and can be combined with sought-after species such as blackbuck antelope and axis deer.
As Argentina is located in the Southern Hemisphere, the rifle hunting season falls during our spring and summer months. The main hunting period typically runs from March to August, when temperatures are pleasant and conditions are ideal for spot-and-stalk and stand hunting on the pampas.
Especially the red stag rut in March and April offers intense and atmospheric experiences, while the remaining species can be hunted with good success rates throughout the season.
For the hunter seeking even more variety, the stay can be expanded with a day of classic Argentine dove shooting, where hundreds of fast-flying doves provide intense and highly entertaining action.
Doves are typically shot on flight lines in wooded areas where they roost, or from blinds near sunflower fields as they come in to feed. Expect between 50–100 doves per day – depending on season, weather conditions, and shooting skills. An action-packed and entertaining form of hunting that makes the perfect complement to rifle hunting.
In addition, traditional partridge hunting over pointing dogs is offered in the open pampas terrain. A classic and atmospheric hunting style where the cooperation between hunter and dog is central, and where the flat landscape provides beautiful and extended shooting situations.
As something truly special, evening and night control hunts for viscacha are also arranged – a large rodent belonging to the chinchilla family. The viscacha digs extensive burrow systems in the ground, which can pose a risk to the ranch’s cattle. The hunt typically takes place in the late evening hours and is both exciting and different, while also being an important part of the ranch’s daily management.
During your stay, accommodation is provided in a comfortable and luxurious lodge, beautifully located in the heart of the hunting area. Here, relaxed and atmospheric surroundings are combined with first-class cuisine and genuine Argentine hospitality. After a day of hunting, guests can enjoy the pool area, fine wines, and well-prepared meals in peaceful and exclusive surroundings.
The owner also operates one of the larger cattle ranches in La Pampa, and the hunting area is an integrated part of this well-managed property. This ensures large, continuous areas, professional management, and an authentic ranch experience where hunting and agriculture go hand in hand.
For accompanying guests, a range of exciting optional activities is available in the area, including horseback riding on the pampas, bird safaris, game drives, classic cattle drives on the ranch, fishing, wine tastings, yoga, massage, and cooking classes focused on Argentine cuisine. This makes the stay attractive for the entire travel party – including non-hunting companions.
Terra Pampa Lodge is a luxurious oasis set in the heart of a scenic natural landscape, designed to offer guests a unique and exclusive hunting experience. The lodge features five spacious suites, which can be arranged with either king-size beds or twin beds. Each suite is equipped with modern amenities and large, well-appointed bathrooms. A beautiful terrace overlooks the breathtaking...
