Scientific Name: Kobus leche

Description: The tree species will be described as one as the difference between them is negligent: Middlesized antelope that reaches a weight of 120 kg and a shoulder height of 90 - 100 cm. General colour either bright chestnut fulvous with white markings on head and neck. Black Lechwe is more blackish brown in colour on the neck, back and sides. Kafue Lechwe has dark shoulder patches. The horns are reminiscent of Buffon Kobens, but are somewhat heavier and longer.
Hunting method: Pursch or hunting from canoe and platform.
